Vedic Heritage's mission statement remains the same more than two decades after its inception: To question and defeat the dark forces of ignorance and to lessen the waste of human energy in this age of moral and spiritual impoverishment. Her Holiness uses a prescription of yoga, meditation, Indian classical dance music, Jyotishshastra, tapa-sadhana and discourses on the values of mankind. All this in an effort to lead a more productive and meaningful life. To thousands of devotees, Vedic Heritage has been successful in promoting the Vedic values that are essential in universal living: love, virtue, integrity, courage, vigor and self-discipline. Faith and acceptance of these universal aspects in all philosophies has further advanced the course of the foundation. The goal is to provide programs geared toward enhancing mental, cultural and physical growth based on Vedic principals. Aware of the auspicious significance of the new millennium, Guru Maa has introduced Her devotees to ambitious plans for the 21st century. Foremost amongst them is the Lonawala Project. This appears to be a 350 crore rupee projection. We have acquired 35 acres of valley property in Lohagarh, Maharashtra, India. The ground breaking ceremony and murti staphna are complete. What remains now is the real work: the building of the temples, gardens, schools, living quarters, and other facilities and infrastructure. The ashram has begun planting trees. Eventually, there will be as many as 1,500 fruit bearing trees. Devotees are being asked to sponsor these trees. In return, there is the peace in knowing that children from nearby villages will come to learn at the Ashram and to feed from the trees. Much assistance will be required to carry us to completion. However, the stage is set. Only the dream need be realized. With Lord Hanuman’s blessings, we will lift a mountain. With your support, we might just lift one mountain in each hand. Furthermore, in memory of Her Divine Guru, Guru Maa has established the Acharya Viswanath Dev Sarma Art Foundation. The mission is to provide worldwide exposure to Indian classical music prodigies under the age of 25. Guru Maa recently authored the Hanumat Puran. This substantial religious doctrine was inspired by the need to generate greater love in this world through the examples and path of Lord Sri Hanuman. These are a few of the milestones amongst many that Guru Maa continues to spearhead under the auspicious flag of Vedic Heritage. We hope, if you have not already done so, that you will join us in supporting this worthy cause. Jai Sri Hanuman! |
